‘Plant trees for environmental balance’



Health Desk- 20 Oct, 2019: Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) Commissioner Abdul Alim Mahmud on Saturday laid emphasis on greening the nature through tree plantation for maintaining ecological balance, reports BSS.
“If the environment is not secured, the issue of living of human-being on this planet will continue to become difficult,” he said.
Alim said this while launching the week-long tree plantation campaign through distributing tree saplings among students, teachers and guardians of different educational institutions of the city aiming to build a green city for environmental balance.
He distributed hundreds of tree saplings at three separate functions among students, teachers and guardians of Tazhat High School, Azizullah High School and Mahiganj High School in the city.
The RpMP and Rangpur Metropolitan Community Policing Committee are jointly conducting the week-long tree plantation campaign through distributing tree saplings at different educational institutions under jurisdiction of the RpMP.
Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) of RpMP Mottaki Ibnu Minan, its
Assistant Police Commissioner (Kotwali Zone) Jamir Uddin, Assistant Police Commissioner (Porshuram Zone) Abdullah Al Mamun and President of Rangpur Metropolitan Community Policing Committee Idris Ali were present.
