February, 2020: Speakers at a programme on Wednesday emphasised on taking
required measures for making disaster resilient cities to minimise the loss of
lives and properties during different disasters like earthquake, fire and
water-logging, said a press release.
“It is important to take necessary steps for making disaster
resilient cities to minimise the loss of lives and properties during disasters
like earthquake, fire and water-logging,” they said.
The speakers made the call at the concluding ceremony of a
two-day training titled ‘Developing Resource Pool for Disaster Management’ at
Uddipan conference room of Adabar in the capital.
They also underscoring on urban risk assessment.
